I was hedge clipping today and managed to clip this out. I didn't notice until suddenly there was a lot of buzzing and then a lot of wasps; some of them were BIG. The client whose garden I was in was around, so I was trying hard to be sensible and professional (as opposed to running off screaming).
I actually felt much better when I noticed the nest had already be cut down, as I was thinking I was going to stand on it or put my shears straight through it.
I'm giving myself a full 10 points for bravery today. And giving thanks that by some small miracle, I didn't get stung.
Ewwwww! You brave girl! So glad you did not get stung...once, twice, three times, etc.!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the salad leaf idea I think I'll have a go with them in the next couple of weeks. As for the azalea - I think you are onto something with the compost. I've definitely killed it. And I will be trimming that mint back under your guidance! Thankyou!
